Megan Callahan

MFA Faculty - Voice, Movement, & Acting

Megan has been a theater educator for over two decades and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Wayne State University/The Hilberry Repertory Theatre Company, has a certificate of completion as a teacher in the Michael Chekhov technique, which she has been studying since 2004, and has studied at the Moscow Art Theater (MXAT) and the Globe Theater in London. She is a member of MICHA (the Michael Chekhov Association.)

In addition to teaching theater to all ages, Megan is a nominated and acclaimed director, dialect coach, actor, musician, yoga instructor and energy work practitioner. She has taught the Michael Chekhov technique for many years, including workshops in Ireland and throughout the United States. Recent directing credits include Gruesome Playground Injuries and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged. She also directed an award-winning production of Frankenstein (via the Kennedy Center’s American College Theater Festival) at her alma mater of Ramapo College of New Jersey for the 200th anniversary of the novel. Other directing credits include, Lulu, Uncle Vanya, He Who Gets Slapped, The Furies of Mother Jones, Far Away, Mojada, My Birthday Party. As a theater artist she has worked with many companies in Western New York and beyond. She is also a mother to three children.
