by Florian Zeller (April 28 - May 14)
Florian Zeller has said that what interests him as a dramatist is the slipperiness of truth, and in The Father he invites us to see life through the eyes of an aging central character whose memory is fading.
Andre (David Lamb) lives in Paris with his daughter, Anne -- or does he? At once touching and amusing, poignant and troubling, The Father challenges us to engage, at first hand, the confusion that can come with old age. Ultimately, the play is a beautiful portrait of a man in his twilight years and a brilliant evocation of love and loss. Artistic Director David Lamb returns to the stage in what promises to be one of his finest performances.
