A View from the Bridge
by Arthur Miller (03/03 – 03/26/2017)
The giant of the American theatre remains without question Arthur Miller, who devoted his career to forging the tragedy of the common man – A View from the Bridge is such a tragedy. Miller wrote his play after hearing a longshoreman's true tale of a honorable man ruined by an obsession to which he himself was blind.
The story of a dock worker whose code of honor depends on protecting migrants, is as relevent today as it was when it was written more than 50 years ago. Director Robert Waterhouse has assembled a cast of some of Buffalo's finest actors for this telling of a true American classic. Running time: 2 hours including intermission.
